UPDATE on VSO schedule and Setting Expectations on Timeframe for Discharge Upgrades

 

**UPDATE: A few weeks ago, I went to my local Veteran Service Officer in Ventura and attempted to 

speak with them about upgrading my discharge status. The clerk at the front told me they are scheduled 

out till October so they suggested I visit some other location. Due to the PACT ACT, VSO's are currently

packed and working as hard as they can with the means they have. To work with a VSO might take 

much longer than I anticipated...just be aware. 

ALSO, big update...it looks like the process for upgrading discharges is under a 2 year delay. 

Good news is that Republican congressmen such as Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., has proposed new 

amendments to next year's National Defense Authorization Act in 2024 to prioritize vaccine refusers

to decrease the wait time. That's what we have for now...
